FIELD LEARNING IMMERSION
Stay longer. Learn through experience.
An extended formative immersion in Central Peru for people interested in Andean-Amazonian knowledge, traditional plant practices, holistic wellbeing and community life.
Go beyond observation. Explore living knowledge through relationships, field experience and meaningful participation.
AN IMMERSION FOR LEARNING AND GROWTH
Time to observe. Space to understand.
Some forms of knowledge cannot be understood through a brief encounter.
The Field Learning Immersion offers an opportunity to become involved in the day-to-day work of Allin Hampy and explore the cultural, ecological and social realities of Central Peru.
Through observation, conversation and practical experience, participants can deepen their understanding of traditional knowledge, local ways of life and different approaches to wellbeing.
Designed especially for young adults at the beginning of their learning journey, the programme is open to anyone genuinely interested in the areas we explore.
Learning areas
Explore. Learn. Develop.
The programme brings together different areas of knowledge and practice. The balance between them depends on the participant’s interests, the length of the stay and the activities available during the immersion.
01. Socio-cultural immersion
Become familiar with the everyday work of Allin Hampy and the social, cultural and ecological contexts in which it takes place.
02. Master plants and traditional ethnobotany
Explore traditional plant knowledge, including cultural meanings, everyday uses and the role of plants in local systems of knowledge.
03. Ritual and traditional healing practices
Learn about ritual traditions and approaches to healing through encounters with Andean-Amazonian traditional practitioners, where appropriate and with their consent.
04. Yoga and holistic wellbeing
Explore yoga, mindful movement, breathing and self-observation as practices for personal development and reflection.

ANCESTRAL WISDOM · HEALING ENERGY · HOLISTIC PRACTICE
Exploring wellbeing through ancestral wisdom.
An important dimension of Allin Hampy’s approach is the exploration of traditional Andean understandings of energy, the body, ritual, relationships and wellbeing.
Through experiential learning and reflection, participants can encounter these perspectives in their cultural context and explore how they relate to personal development and holistic practices.
This is an opportunity to learn from different ways of understanding human experience, with openness, discernment and respect for the traditions involved.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Learning through meaningful participation.
Allin Hampy’s work includes social initiatives connected with Andean women, children and families.
The Field Learning Immersion offers an opportunity to understand the context of these initiatives and, where appropriate, participate in agreed activities.
This is not a volunteering programme. Participation is guided by local needs, the nature of each project and the boundaries established with the people involved.
The aim is to learn through relationship and contribute responsibly, without treating people or communities as an experience to be consumed.
WHO IS THIS EXPERIENCE FOR?
For curious minds ready to learn.
The programme is particularly suited to young adults aged 20–35 who are beginning to explore traditional knowledge, ethnobotany, cultural research, yoga, nutrition or holistic approaches to wellbeing.
You do not need to be an expert. Curiosity, openness, respect and a willingness to learn are more important than previous experience.
Researchers, practitioners and people from other age groups are also welcome to enquire if their interests align with the programme.
